How long is the drive, and what is the route?

From central Marrakech or Menara Airport, count on up to about an hour to reach Le Bédouin. Traffic getting out of the city moves it around, and so does your exact pickup point. Most of the way is on regular sealed roads pointing toward the Agafay plateau, an easy and comfortable run for that first part.

Near the end, things change. The final approach is an unpaved desert piste: packed earth and stone instead of asphalt. Short, but this is where local knowledge and the right car actually earn their keep, especially after rain or in the low evening light.

Where we pick you up

Menara Airport

Arriving by air? Send us your flight number when you book and we keep an eye on it. Land early or late, your driver adjusts and is there when you walk out. You'll be met in arrivals with a name sign, so there's no scanning the crowd after a long flight.

From the airport the drive follows that same up-to-an-hour route, skirting the edge of the city before heading out toward Agafay. Plenty of travelers go straight from the terminal to the camp without stopping in Marrakech at all, and that works nicely.

Riads and the medina

Most riads tuck themselves into the medina's pedestrian lanes, where no car can pull up to the door. We set a meeting point at the nearest car-accessible spot, usually a square or gate you'll recognize close to your riad. Give us the riad name and we agree the exact place beforehand, so there's nothing to puzzle over on the day.

Anywhere in Marrakech city

Staying in a hotel or apartment outside the medina? Your driver collects you right at the entrance. Gueliz, Hivernage, the Palmeraie, anywhere else in town: same deal, one clear pickup point, agreed when you book.

Why not just take a street taxi or a ride-hailing app?

A street grand taxi will happily take you out of the city, but you negotiate the fare every time, and a lot of drivers go quiet when they hear "off-road camp," particularly for a return run or a late pickup. The car may also be wrong for the piste, which you only discover once you're bumping along it.

Apps in Marrakech are built for short hops across town. Coverage thins out fast once you leave, and a place like Le Bédouin, with no street address out on the piste, is precisely where a casual app driver gets lost or just cancels on you. Want to be settled in for sunset? Tell us when you'd like to arrive and we work the departure backward from there, building in time for traffic leaving the city.

Your driver takes you the whole way in along the piste and stops at the camp's reception, not at some far-off point where you'd be hauling bags across open ground. You arrive at the door, full stop.
