Cancellation Policy & Amendment Rules

This policy details the terms under which confirmed transfers with Taxi Agafay can be cancelled or amended. It is an integral part of our full Terms of Service & Conditions.

1. Client Cancellation Penalties

All cancellation notices must be sent in writing (Email or WhatsApp) to be valid. Penalties are calculated based on the difference between the cancellation time and the confirmed pickup time.

Note on Payment: Since payments are typically made upon arrival, a cancellation fee represents a commitment fee due to the driver being assigned. By booking, you agree to honor these penalties.

2. No Show Policy

A "No Show" occurs when the client fails to meet the driver at the designated time and location within the specified grace period without prior notification. The following penalties apply to No Show scenarios:

  • Airport Pickup (RAK): The driver will wait for up to 60 minutes after the confirmed flight landing time (with flight tracking). After 60 minutes, the transfer is considered a No Show.
  • City/Riad Pickup: The driver will wait for up to 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. After 15 minutes, the transfer is considered a No Show.
  • Penalty: All No Show bookings will incur a penalty of 100% of the quoted One Way fixed price.

3. Amendment Policy (Changes to Booking)

We allow reasonable changes to your booking free of charge, subject to vehicle and driver availability:

  • Time Changes: Changes to the pickup time requested more than 12 hours in advance are usually accommodated free of charge.
  • Location Changes: Changes to the pickup or drop-off location may result in a price adjustment if the new route significantly alters the distance or travel time. You will be notified of any price change before confirmation.
  • Last-Minute Changes: Amendments requested less than 6 hours before pickup may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking, potentially incurring the 100% penalty for the original booking.

4. Company-Initiated Cancellation

In the rare event that Taxi Agafay must cancel your confirmed booking (e.g., due to extreme weather making the piste unsafe, vehicle breakdown, or unforeseen government restrictions), we guarantee:

  • Immediate notification via phone/WhatsApp.
  • A full and immediate refund of any funds already paid (if applicable).
  • We will attempt to assist you in finding an alternative licensed transport solution, where possible.
